Termination at 11 weeks

Hi everyone .
I’m having a surgical abortion next week - I will be 11 weeks and 2 days - I’m having it done under general anesthetic . Has anyone had this done ? What’s the bleeding like afterwards ? Any tips on recovery? 🩷

Hi @Mpark, I had a termination at 11+4 under general anaesthetic. I had minimal discomfort following the procedure and then what felt like a normal period but the bleeding lasted for a couple of weeks. In terms of recovery, I felt normal afterwards but I would say take it easy and give yourself lots of comforts like rest, some nice food and downtime to do some peaceful things you enjoy like watch films, a TV series, read a book, etc. Wishing you the best, take care of yourself x

I really don't think it will be as I don't think it tends to be with a surgical. They take good care of you and give you all the information you need to know and are always there if you need to call them up afterwards for reassurance, too xx
