Conflicted mum of 1, hopefully 2 eventually

37yo mum of a 1yo. Want a second baby. Positive pregnancy test, has happened much sooner than planned/expected. Feels like it is just too soon, about to go back to work, and go back to being more than just a mummy! Conflicted around having a termination, and can’t help but think if I terminate now, what if it doesn’t happen again for us later? Want a second baby but just not now. However not getting any younger, is this just a short term derailment in life plans?

Hi, congratulations! The way I see it OP is that this just means 1 more year to be at home with your babies! 1 more year of firsts, and then after that you have many years to work! Soak it in, enjoy everything, time really really does go too quickly🤍 As you mentioned you are not getting any younger, and from the way you write you seem quite optimistic about being a mum of 2, if you were to terminate out of fear you may regret it, and if you had trouble in the future it could really impact you emotionally knowing what you could have had if you hadn’t terminated. It’s a scary time, but think how amazing this year has been with your first child, it will be just like that, but double the love❤️ Good luck x
