just before I start I hope of posted this in the correct place and hopefully some people can share similar experiences and hopefully help me out.
so I’ve decided to go ahead with a medical abortion, it was a difficult decision but the best for me and my family at the moment.
i just have a feeling that it hasn’t worked. The reason I say this is because when I was younger I had another medical abortion and I will never forget it as it was a deeply traumatic experience for me. I remember pain so bad I could only lie curled up in a ball even with codeine, and clots upon clots and I actually saw the pregnancy as awful as it was, I knew it was done- the next day I woke up feeling completely different nausea gone, sore boobs gone, energetic and just less tired.
however this weekend I had another medical abortion and it was different, I took the first tablet on Saturday afternoon and then the 4 others vaginally Sunday night. Bleeding was mild and I probably passed 2 very small clots about 2.5 hours later, the pain was manageable and I didn’t even need and pain relief, the bleeding was so light so 4 hours later I took the extra 2 tablets they gave me, they didn’t really make a difference and I fell asleep, I woke up in absolutely 0 pain, bleeding I can only describe as that of a 3rd day period and no clots. I also from the moment I woke up felt awfully nauseous just like I did before, sore boobs and exhausted. I know they say symptoms can wear off after a few days but last time as soon as I passed the pregnancy it all stopped- and this time I just know I haven’t passed the pregnancy.
I will obviously contact BPAS in the coming days if it doesn’t subside and still very light etc, but this is where my issue begins.
my partner is the only other person who knows, and as much as people might think it best for me to tell other people close to me, I just can’t, and I’m worried that if it hasn’t worked I will have to have a surgical removal and I’d have to tell others 😞 can they give me another dose of the tablets? I think I’m around 6wk 4days for reference. Thanks in advance
