Just reaching out for some experiences because I'm really struggling so maybe writing down thoughts will help me.
I had a medical termination 3 weeks ago. Took the tablets at home vaginally which was followed by bleeding for about a week. Was really heavy at times but manageable. Stopped bleeding on day 8 I think and thought all was done.
Was due to take pregnancy test yesterday to make sure all had worked but day before this I started to bleed again. It wasn't much but there was some clotted tissue. I did the test then and strong positive. I called the gynae ward and they said not to panic and that probably some retained product that was working it's way out. They said to do another test in a week and if still positive ill have to go in. They also told me what to look out for, for infection.
I've felt absolutely fine in myself and the bleeding isn't much. It's still there and still clotty with bits of tissue but isn't heavy at all.
I'm so so scared of becoming ill. My anxiety is through the roof. I'm praying that my body is just letting any remaining tissue go but what if I have to have surgery? I really want to avoid that. I've had 2 x D&C before following miscarriage and I just don't want to have that again. But I'm also so scared of infection and now my anxiety is making me question am I feeling ill?.
For anyone who had infection, how quickly did it come on and how severe were symptoms?
I'm just panicking tonight so badly in case something goes wrong, I get infection or need surgery 😢 i just want my body to pass it naturally.
Any advice or experiences? Xx
