Abortion at 5 weeks - Not working?

Hi all.

I found out I was unexpectedly pregnant about a week ago and had to opt for abortion for health reasons (complications with my last pregnancy, waters broke prematurely at 23 weeks, monitored throughout, developed sepsis in labour etc etc and told it will likely happen again, perhaps with a prem baby - Baby was fine and is healthy!)

I work out to be 5 weeks pregnant today. I took my first pill yesterday at 8pm, followed by the 4 pills dissolved in gums today at 8pm. Started feeling shivery, passed some diorrhea and some mild to moderate cramping - However, hardly any blood…

I have had a medical abortion previously, and from last time (I was around 7-8 weeks), I did exactly as I did this time, also had diorrhea, and passed a large blood clot plus a fair amount of bleeding.

Its now been 3 hours since I took the 4 pills and my pad is still pretty much empty, with very light bleeding when I wipe and some slight blood on the sides of the pad where I’ve lay.

I plan to take the other 2 pills they gave me at 11pm (they said leave for 3 hours after taking the first 4), but I feel like I should be bleeding a lot more than this, this isn’t even the same as a regular period would be.

I don’t think it’s working - I will take the other 2 and see what happens. Has anyone’s bleeding started later on after taking them? If the bleeding doesn’t get stronger after taking the last 2, what happens now?

:(

I had no bleeding at all after inserting the 4 pills. It wasn’t until I inserted the last 2 pills 3 hours later that the bleeding started. Hope things have started to move for you.
