After making the difficult decision to terminate I took my first tablet on Thursday, exactly 24 hours later I inserted 4 Misoprostal vaginally at 8.30pm. I experienced light cramping but no bleeding or brown discharge. I inserted a further 2 tablets again vaginally 4 hours later.
it has now been 35 hours and I have not experienced any bleeding, spotting or discharge whatsoever.

I have rang Bpas who have booked me in for a scan. Earliest appointment is Wednesday in 3 days time.

I am worried such that something is wrong.

any advice is greatly appreciated in this already deeply upsetting time xx

Hi just wondering if your bleeding has started? I too had a MA. I took my 1st tablet on Friday, 2 misoprostol at 1.30pm Saturday, I had no bleeding so took 1 more at 5.30pm Saturday. I have just started bleeding today but it is like a light period, no cramping or clots. I will contact my health provider tomorrow for more advice.

Hi - Honestly, exactly the same for me. I started bleeding on Sunday after taking my 2nd tablets at 8.30pm Fri night along with the two additional at midnight. My bleedings from Sunday and until now has been just a really light period, zero cramping or clots.

I did contact BPAS who have booked me in for a scan tomorrow.
I'm am confident the light period flow is not enough and that i am still pregnant based on symptoms etc.
How far along are you if you do not mind me asking?
Any further progression yet for you?

Hi, I hope your scan goes well today and that hopefully you have passed the pregnancy and need no more intervention. I have had more bleeding (still not very heavy) and some small clots, my health care provider told me the fact I have some bleeding is positive and as I am only 5 weeks that I may not have alot of clots to pass. I was told to do nothing for 2 weeks until I do the low sensitivity pregnancy test and to take it from there. I really hope I will have a negative result as this has been such a hard time and I just want it all to be over

Hi,
I had my scan today. They said my uterus is empty and with a diagnosis of Pregnancy in unknown location. They also carried out another pregnancy test which came back positive. They wanted me to go to the Early pregnancy unit at the hospital straight away but when the lady called them to make an appointment they said to wait 10 more days and test again. The lady at BPAS seemed quite concerned about that advice and told me that if i want to, to go to A&E. I am now incredibly anxious that i am having an eptopic pregnancy. Currently waiting for my partner to get back from work so he can go with me to the hospital.

I really hope your situation has resolved itself. I think it is really positive you have now passed some blood clots. I have not passed anything with any significance. Only one which was the size of a pea. So my uterus showing an empty is the biggest concern.

Hi, I just wanted to update you on my outcome.

I was booked in today at the EPU at the hospital. They carried out an additional internal scan but could not find anything. All of my pregnancy test x6 have still had a faint positive but the one at the hospital was negative. I was still worried about an Eptopic pregnancy due to symptoms but they did assure me the result would not be negative with an eptopic pregnancy. They believe i either had a chemical pregnancy or the light bleed was all that was needed. I hope you are o.k and have a positive outcome.

I am glad that your pregnancy test in the hospital came back negative and hopefully you can put all this behind you now. I had my low sensitivity pregnancy test this morning with my GP and it was negative. He said maybe I had a chemical pregnancy or early miscarriage as bleeding was so light. I was so relieved I can move on now and once my husband gets come from work later he will book himself in for a vasectomy as we never want to go through this ordeal again. Best wishes for the future and mind yourself x

Hi, I took abortion pills 3 times in each different occassion now. Each time it fails, still no bleeding and only light cramps. I’ve taken 20pcs of pills but it didnt seem to have any effect.

I took 2pills around 6:18pm on Friday, had cramps but no bleeding, took another two pills this morning (Saturday)around past 9 am. But still no bleeding at all but still having minor cramps. Am just worried

Hey lovely,
think you should ring the aftercare team for who your abortion care is with.
I had an abortion Friday, with the first pill being taken Thursday at 1:40pm and then the next 4 tablets taken at 2pm on the Friday all at the same time as my provider said this is what you need to do.
Then I had another two in the pack as a just incase I didn’t start bleeding after 4 hours
I started bleeding exactly 4 hours later so I phoned my team who said don’t worry and don’t take the next lot of pills.

however I’m now two days post and I’ve had next to no bleeding since 11:30pm friday night and on and off cramping.
i have to ring my team again on Wednesday if I’ve had no more heavy bleeding
