Sorry for the long post in advance
so I found out I’m pregnant Friday just gone and I’m 4+4 weeks.
Called MSI on Saturday morning and decided to go private as I was referred to BPAS for nhs funding but had to go through other channels and seemed like a lot messing around.
I had my initial consultation with the doctor this morning (MSI requires 2 consultations before treatment) and 10 minutes before hand someone called up to take the payment for the consult.
now the payment system was down so they couldn’t take payment but I was still called for the consultation which went well and they confirmed that I would be okay to have the pills posted to me. They then booked me for tomorrow for the nurse consultation over the phone which I was quite pleased with as it all was very quick.
now I was worrying about the fact that I hadn’t been able to pay yet and it would delay treatment so I called to see if I could pay. They put me on hold to see if anyone was available to take payment but she came back and said the systems were still down so they couldn’t. She also told me that because I’m paying privately I wouldn’t be entitled to pills by post and that I would have to go into a clinic! She said that shes not sure why I was told that I could have the pills by post. she also said she will flag it with the management team and they will contact me asap regarding this and that she doesn’t know when the payment system will be up and running again.
now I’m really stressed that this will delay my treatment because I’m not coping mentally and although it sounds awful I just want the whole process out of the way.
if anyone else had gone privately through Marie stopes could you please let me know if you could receive pills in the post as I’m losing my mind here
