I had a surgical abortion 4 weeks 2 days ago. I was 10 weeks pregnant.

i am still bleeding on and off, some days nothing, some days spotting, some days more like a period. Some days it is brown blood and others it is fresh red. it stopped for a few days then started again. I take ovulation tests every day and haven’t ovulated.

really anxious about my fertility and would like some reassurance from others who have gone through this.

Hey,
so i have unfortunately had to have three abortions. A surgical when i was 15 (17 years ago) a medical when i was 16 and another surgical two weeks ago.

i had my daughter at 19 and she is now 13 years old. Ive had no issues conceiving, if anything i seem to be super fertile.
You will honestly be fine don't worry 🌺

Totally normal to be bleeding off and on for several weeks. Have you done a pregnancy test to see if HCG still rattling round your body?

Be kind to yourself, it'll take a few months for things to resettle but they will.

I had one by aspiration at 6 weeks a year ago any my body is still not the same. I wish you best of luck, but sadly when they say it is safe they are lying to us.

I had one on The 26th of july and felt completely normal within a week. Everyone’s different and to say its unsafe isnt right.
trust me its a damn lot nicer than a medical
abortion, ive experienced both and the surgical was a breeze.

Trust you how? My body is damaged forever and it is questionable if I will ever be able to maintain a pregnancy in the future.
And no, it was not a neglected infection or any underlying condition.
I have been living in pain for a year. With no signs of improvement anymore. So definitely not a breeze.

I am booked for a surgical abortion. I have been asked to take a Mifepristone tablet before the procedure to soften my cervix. Did you have to do this? If so, what was your experience? X

I was under general anaesthetic for mine, I’ve a post I made after it.

it was a pleasant enough experience for me despite it being horrible circumstances.
