Had a medical abortion a week ago today past some clots and bled for a week after but I started getting a horrible smell with the blood 4 days ago and started to feel awlful - like my body was fighting an infection. The dr put me on a 7 day course of antibiotics two days ago. I had a scan yesterday and was told a small bit of retained tissue and I've been given the option to have another medical abortion to try to get rid of the small amount of remaining tissue or wait until I next have a period but this means the remaining tissue being left in there possibly a month and the fear of further infection or worse after these antibiotics finish concerns me. I do feel awlful and can't help but think its from this retaining product. Advice desperately needed and lots of what would you do in this situation? Please help. I'm going through this on my own. The hospital have said they will not operate as would be too risky. My pregnancy hormones are very low now from a blood test.
