Hope I can just ask without going into backstory - has anyone (or know anyone) who has deliberately conceived knowing there was a relatively high chance of a genetic condition, had the gene tested for at 12 weeks (CVS) with the plan to terminate if the baby carries it? Alternative to have IVF/genetic testing is almost impossible financially as not eligible for NHS.
Ethically is it really any different to testing IVF embryos and not using those that test positive... I feel like a monster for considering it but wonder if it's more common than I expect.
