Hello, we have payed private for fertility mot and they have come back that husband has “average” sperm and it isn’t of no concern we have been trying for 3 years to convince and my bloods have come back that I am “very low” at 4.7 egg reserve I am 30 this month.
the private doctor has said that we need to waist no time in getting the ball rolling with ivf treatment. We did visit our gp ( tried in past and he has been useless) thank god we had a lovely trainee gp and she was a god send- I just hope that the new nhs will be with doctors like her ❤️
she has referred us to nhs fertility clinic but was told it may be a year however she is going to try and push that we are seen sooner ( I was in quite a mess when we went ), as we have been told not to waste any time obviously if we need to wait a year that’s far to long for us (esp my husband who is now in panic mode)
if we go private for one round of ivf and it dosnt work can we then go back to the nhs ( stay on the waiting list with them if that’s possible) obviously in an ideal world we would be seen within a few weeks just for them to see if it is as urgent as the private clinic made out.
we do not have any children together or from past relationships however we did terminate a pregnancy at when I was 17 and she was 21 ( he had just signed up to the army and I was heading off to uni) would this make it impossible for us to have nhs treatment ( please do not come at me regarding this, it had taken nearly 10 years for us to forgive our selfs)
I am totally lost and feel like I’m drowning in the world my husband dosnt understand I feel so lost ( I suppose it’s never something you think you will face) he’s been great but he’s an over dooer so I feel like he is now smothering me with love where as I was to sit in my car and scream .
is there anything we can do? Ect please help ❤️
