hcg still rising after abortion

Hi i had a medical abortion at 6 weeks almost 4wks ago. My pregnancy test that i was given was postive so i went for a scan which showed clots still there. I was then given a blood test which showed high hcg. my second blood test 48hr after showed my hcg increased.
I have been referred to hospital and im waiting for them to call
.Has anyone else experienced this?

hey yes i did and it’s a scary time so i’m with you x for me they were worried about ectopic pregnancy because hcg rising but no pregnancy in the womb. 99% of the time it’s actually tiny pieces of left over tissue in the womb making your blood react to the horomone so don’t be scared. After a few weeks of them monitoring my bloods it went down. They said although not common when it does happen that’s often the outcome. I was so scared when i heard ectopic but it’s just precautionary so don’t stress too much thinking of you
