Abortion complications

Hi,
The beginning of may I had a medical abortion. I then bled for a month, 3 weeks ago the bleeding and pain got much worse, i was flooding my pads and loosing large clots. I lost a large clot and the bleeding slowed. I ended up in A n E, scan found a small amount of retained product. I had another 3 tablets inserted and lost a few small blood clots. I was advised I would have a scan two days later to see if it worked. The next day I had a call to say, that's now how things work. They won't scan me, I have to wait 3 weeks and do a pregnancy test. I have already been informed you can test negative and still have retained product. Bleeding has stopped, no discharge, no odd smell but my back still hurts. I seen the gp last week and she prescribed antibiotics, which seemed to help, the back pain nearly went. Last dose was Sunday night and the back pain is gradually getting worse again. Has anyone else experienced this? Grateful for any advice.xxx

No advice but the care sounds awful. I'd go back to your GP, maybe call the abortion company you had your abortion with too, explain your mixed messages a and e. It sounds worrying 😞 leave potential retained products for so long.

Thanks, it was under the nhs and it was nhs emergency gynecology ward doctors said a scan in two days, they referred me to a closer to home nhs hospital. Their gynaecology nurse said they won't scan me. I did speak to my GP, they seemed confused by the conflicting information. However, gave me antibiotics and said to go to a and e if I get worse. It's just bizarre and upsetting.

Has everything calmed down for you now? I bled for 2 weeks after mine and started getting back ache and cramping and bleeding started on and off, currently 4 weeks on from when I took my pills now and still cramping and bleeding on and off. Went my gp got given antibiotics and told if doesn’t stop to go to an and e, which I don’t want to do. Not even sure if it’s abortion related or something else, think the worst don’t you xx
