Taking the abortion pill at home

Hi. I’m pregnant but my circumstances mean that I cannot continue with the pregnancy. I’ve looked up the abortion pill (BPAS) and read up on it, but I’ve also heard that some people have reacted really badly, and some have died from it very suddenly. Has anyone else heard of bad reactions/death from taking it? I’m not sure what to do.

I believe it can make you feel so nauseous you might not want to go to work next day?
It’s the rush of hormones I suppose.

Do you have any allergies OP? I think it’s very unlikely you’ll collapse and die. You should have someone with you ideally though.

I knew someone who died suddenly when taking it at home. I dont know the exact circumstances but I'm aware it was the pill that contributed to her death. Devastating and I'd never take it now.

I've never heard of deaths. I'm sure the odd one happens, like with absolutely any medication or procedure but it's definitely not common!

I haven't heard of deaths but I've had friends who have been in a lot of pain and had a lot bleeding (more than they were expecting). One of them also didn't pass everything so had to have what was left removed in hospital.

A lot of women take it without any problems though.

I have got the pills ready at home and I'm waiting for a good time/ when I'm sure. At the consultation they went through the risks and death was one but it was one in 100,000 I think. So very, very rare. I am pretty sure childbirth is much higher. I think it's from bleeding, so possibly if you have a bleeding condition.... I'm not worried about dying but am worried about other things..

Also, they have changed the policy recently, as in January. Before everyone was told to take 6 of the 2nd pill. Now you take 4, reasses bleeding in a few hours and take 2 more if needed. I imagine that reduces unnecessary bleeding.
