I'm new here.
Yesterday, I had my medical abortion. I thought I'd share my experience on here. I was desperately searching the internet in the days leading up to my abortion, so I thought I'd share this for someone that needs it.
I was 5 weeks and a few days pregnant.
I took the first tablet (Mifepristone) orally 24 hours before the second dose. I had no bleeding or side effects from this tablet.
Yesterday, I took the remaining tablets (Misoprostol) at about 7pm. The cramping and bleeding started within an hour (my cramping was mild and wasn't as painful as others suggested but everyone is different) and within about a 3/4 hours I was bleeding more heavily and passing clots about every 30 minutes for two hours. I noticed that one of the clots was bigger than the rest so I have assumed that this was the pregnancy. The clots for me, were the most painful. From my experience, it felt like I was birthing clots.
I then went to sleep with no pain and have woken up today to what is like my normal menstrual period.
I had symptoms prior to the abortion such as sickness and tiredness, however this has now disappeared.
I am now anxiously awaiting the 3 week mark to take the pregnancy test.
