Abortion & working with family

Got a positive pregnancy test yesterday and will not be keeping the pregnancy for various reasons that aren't relevant to this post. I'm 4-5 weeks or so.

My superior is a very close relative. I don't want to tell her about the abortion because she won't understand my reasoning (one of those 'it'll all sort itself out' kind of people), is a massive gossip, and it's none of her business.

I don't really know how to go about it. Do I have to make an appointment with a GP? Can you still order the pills online, do you you still need a dating scan for it? I'm assuming I will need a couple of days from work. I thought to use a stomach bug for an excuse at first but her husband works with my husband and our kids play together so it might look a bit strange if it's only me that 'catches' it? Am I overthinking?

Forgive me for the post being a bit all over the place.

So is my brain!

If you are early on it can be same day. They will do the dating scan and potentially give you the pills to take home then and there. They say most people go back to normal the next day but I would give it a few days and maybe see if you can time it for the end of the week.

I think what ever reason you use is none of her business really. You could just call in sick that morning. Or take time off and say that you have a doctors appointment. Nobody needs to know the ins and outs and although she might ask out of curiosity you can always say it’s private or woman’s stuff or something?

Fortunately you are very early so the process should be simpler for you x
