Abortion scan help

Hi everyone
no judgment please

I found out last Thursday that I’m unexpectedly pregnant, I’m currently 4+3 weeks today. Yesterday morning I filled out the online form on the Nupas website and they called me in just under an hour. The lovely lady on the phone said their earliest telephone consultation was Thursday and I asked if there was any cancellations that I could get before then. She checked the diary and said they had a slot for Tuesday am which I was quite relieved about. Since I have had such bad anxiety and feeling depressed since I found out, I decided to call this morning to check for any cancellations which they didn’t have. I then called back an hour later around 10am and they actually had a cancellation for around 11am today! I had the telephone consultation and when the nurse asked if I’ve had any cramping I told her I have had mild cramping. She then said I would have to go into a clinic to rule out ectopic pregnancy which immediately made me panic even more because I just want this over with and know from searching posts on here it can take a while to get an appointment for scan. She managed to find me an appointment for a scan this Thursday and said that if all is well they will give me the medication the same day. Now the thing that worries me is that I will be too early on Thursday to rule out ectopic (I will be 4+6)and that I might have to wait and go back. Although I’m grateful the process has been super quick so far, I really want this over with because I haven’t been eating or sleeping with anxiety.
If anyone has a similar experience please let me know

thank you

I was about 4+5 I think when I went for my scan (although I had to book a private one as the clinic wait was too long). I lied about my dates so I could get the scan - I just wanted it over with. They could see the pregnancy in the right place but told me I’d need to come back in a week to confirm it was progressing.

Hopefully it’s straightforward for you too 🤞🏼

@Tcr1987 thank you so much for your response that has put my mind at ease a bit

if you don’t mind me asking, was it the private clinic that asked you to come back in a week? Were they under the impression you were going to keep it? And did you have the termination?
sorry for all the questions and don’t feel like you have to answer, I’m just losing my mind here

Sorry, my message was confusing. Yes it was the private scan place who asked me to come back and that’s because I didn’t feel comfortable telling them I planned to have an abortion so they assumed I wanted to continue.

I did go through with the abortion.

I was really upset on the phone to the person at BPAS and just wanted to get the abortion done quickly (probably because I actually wanted to keep it but felt I couldn’t) and she said the only option to get a scan quicker would be to go to the hospital complaining of ectopic pregnancy symptoms and to hope they gave me a scan. I didn’t feel I had the emotional energy for that, so went private.

@Tcr1987 Thank you for responding and sorry for what you went through

I’m really worried they’ll say they can’t see anything tomorrow and I want me to come back at a later date as mentally I don’t think I can’t wait any longer

For me the mental/ emotional side was much much worse than the physical. I hope you get the outcome you want at the scan.

If it’s the same as me and they just want to rule out ectopic all they’ll want to see is the sac.

@Tcr1987 Thats how I’m feeling at the moment, I’m not worried about the pain or physical side of it just the mental side
I’ll update tomorrow after scan
