Hi I had a medical abortion when I was 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant. Confirmed by dates and a scan. I took the first tablet on the 22nd September the friday and the remaining 6 tablets 24 hours later, first 4 vaginally and 2 orally on Saturday afternoon.

Nothing whatsoever happened after the first 4 tablets a couple hours after the second lot of pills I started bleeding however it was only when I wiped nothing ever came into my pad. I had no pain whatsoever not even a single cramp or felt or seen any clots pass.

I was out and about as normal on Sunday.

Bleeding then picked up on the Tuesday but was finished Friday evening, again nothing more than a normal period majority of the time nothing in the pad more so when I wiped.

I immediately no longer felt pregnant, no tender boobs, no sickness and energy levels are great.

I'm now thinking I should have called msi sooner as I'm guessing I'm not sure the pregnancy passed.

I know either way hormones will still be in my body a while yet, I'm 10/11 days post termination pills and a regular pregnancy test is still dark, pic below.

I did call msi and they want me to have a scan however nothing available in my area, waiting for a call back but told if no call by Friday to call them back. I'm assuming this means no scan now until atleast next week but my anxiety levels are now through the roof.

I'm thinking the pregnancy is no longer viable however it hasn't passed which may mean surgical intervention which I've wanted to avoid.

I'm probably over thinking but cannot stop thinking.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

Thanks x

Hi,

I'm in a similar place but the other way around, I had a lot of bleeding and clots after the first 4 pills but then everything stopped, no bleeding or nothing, so I'm freaking out a bit too as I also don't want the surgical option.

I think it's great they offered you a scan already, but also maybe take the special pregnancy test they gave you once the 3 weeks have passed and see? The shop ones will still say you're pregnant for a while.

Hope they call you soon!
