Hi everyone I’m not sure if this will be reached but I’m about to undergo a MA on Friday. Just taken the first tablet and feel a glimpse of my old self back which makes me optimistic for friday. Bit of context pregnancy was completely unplanned with me and my partner, I’m going through a nursing degree and it’s completely the wrong time for us both which is why friday can’t come soon enough. I’ve been reading some threads and it’s put my nerves at ease however I’m still abit scared for the pain as I usually have a pain-free period so not used to period like cramps..

I went through this a couple of weeks ago, I had coedine which really helped. I had shivers/chills about an hour after inserting the tablets and that lasted for about 2 hours but by the end of the 3-4 hours it was all done. I did get times where I moved and it felt like a lot of leaking, I would say lay on something thick, I had my dressing down on underneath me and leaked through a few times. Sorry if TMI. I did get cramping which was similar to period pains. Here if you need to chat or have any other questions x

Thank you so much for replying, I was going to try just paracetamols but I will definitely be getting some codeine now! How long did yours last all together in total/how long did the pregnancy take to pass? And if you don’t mind me asking how far along we’re you.. sorry I have a lot of questions as none of my friends have been through it before and my partner can only get a half day off work so I’ll be going through the first lot of it on my own x

Hope you're doing ok. I had a medical abortion just over a year ago & to not knowing what to expect was horrible. I felt terrible for a couple of hours after taking the misoprostol, really sick & generally just terrible. That passed then the rest really wasn't too bad, bleeding was manageable & had no pain at all, I too am fortunate that i don't have painful periods so don't know if that has any impact.

For me the worst of the bleeding was a few hours max then it settled down & lasted a few more days, longer than a regular period but certainly not massively worse.

Hope you're doing ok

thank you so much for replying..

Abit nervous for tomorrow as I always think of worst case scenario but I’ve just started to bleed abit and a small clot has come out. I took the first tablet yesterday morning and due to take the other 6 tomorrow morning.. is this normal? I’ve read that you can start bleeding after taking it but obviously need to take the others aswell! I’m very much in my own head atm just scared of the unknown.. x
