BPAS abortion

Hello.

I found out yesterday I am pregnant very unplanned and unwanted so have made the decision to terminate.

I track my periods and was few days later knew something wasn't right but this would make me about 4-5 weeks pregnant.
I have sent a BPAS request form and just wanting any advice who has gone through similar on the process of how long in total it took and how it went.

@Allsquishedup read your booklet see what it says about everything and when you should call. I had a text to say pills will be here tomorrow x

I gave them a call, as i get anxiety and they said if nothing happened in 24hr which will be half 5 tomorrow to call them back, but been as i did pass 2 clots no matter how tiny it seems somethings happening

as you say not everyone is textbook. Keep me updated for tomorrow and il always be here if you need to chat, i have my notifications switched on

Im stressed, i dnt think it worked all i have had is minimal brown blood when i wipe

I called them last night, she said if nothing happened in 24hours to call back which will be half 5. Nothing will happen until at least tuesday now. Im tempted to ring my local clinic and ask for a scan or some more tablets. Im so upset, i thought id be nearing the end by now

@Allsquishedup yeah I can understand that. It can take alot longer than few hours for some people I just suppose it's down to how body processes the medication to how quick it works. Your still under 10 weeks anyways so even if you have to wait for appointment get scanned and go from there with options. Things could still progress yet here if you need me try not to panic x

I think if its failed which im pretty sure it has, i would go for the surgical option. I cant go through this again the anxiety is killing me. Waiting for a nurse to call me back 🤞 have a feeling they are just going to tell me to wait but worth a try.

So spoke to the midwife, still have to call back at 5.30 if nothing. She said it may be as i was quite early, the 2 little blood clots i had could be it but iv still had no bleeding after that so looks like it will probably be a scan for me in the near future . @Allsquishedup Yeah I think people expect it to be this terrible ordeal and when it isn't they worry but fingers crossed the clots were it. I don't blame you I would go for surgical aswell if the pills didn't work. It's in my local area now at post office so hoping will appear some point this morning x

Yeah i am hoping that was it as i did get some cramping so something was happening. Only time will tell now, i just hate all the waiting around but what will be ay. Im glad the process is starting for you 🙂 im sure it will all go smoothly, im just an exception lol

@Allsquishedup no your not! It's all alot of waiting and unknown when comes to these things it's a stressful situation anyways so any added stress just intensifies the feeling anxiety is normal in this situation I will have to remind myself of this aswell when it's my turn I will be the same lol. My partner not home untill 19th he away with military so if it doesn't go well I'll have to wait till then before I can even do anything I have nobody for the kids x

Yes i hate the unknown and my anxiety is through the roof. My friend is coming to take me for a walk to try take my mind off it all. My boobs dont feel as tender as they have done in recent days, i just wish i would bleed to ease my mind abit. I have got all my fingers crossed for you

Thanks. I feel better, still stressed though, just going to try get through the weekend and bank holiday. Glad uv got the process started, makes you feel better doesnt it

@Allsquishedup fingers crossed that goes well. Those first tablets have made me feel so sick! Haven't been sick though luckily x

I read that was a common side effect feeling sick. Hope all goes well tomorrow for the others

Thought i would update as this thread has been helpful to me and might help other but earlier i have lost some more clots and the blood looks bright red now so hopefully things are moving.. hope your doing ok

@Allsquishedup that sounds like progress. I was sick lastnight and keep going got and cold and dizzy when I stand feel really ill from that first tab dread to think what second ones will do to me x

Definetly progress and more this morning! Im so pleased feels like a weight has been lifted. It gave me a major headache the first one, all signs its working though 🙂 keep me updated on your journey later

@Allsquishedup I bet it feels much better to see it progressing more. I've just been sick again going to be a long day I think for me I feel so poorly. Gonna wait till kids sleep tonight to do second lot then I won't have anything to do but relax x

Yea it does i feel more relaxed now, might need to cancel my scan monday aswell as im in full flow and someone else might need it.. just goes to show it can take longer than 24hours to kick in.

aww i hope the kids let you rest today, hopefully it will wear off soon enough for you🤞

@Allsquishedup Did you feel sick or anything after the second lot of tablets? I'm really scared to see how in gonna be if this is me from that first one x
