Bleeding post Medical Abortion

Looking for any experience of ladies that have perhaps had something similar.

I had medical abortion 7 weeks ago and I am still bleeding. The pregnancy was 13weeks gestation with twins. At around 5 weeks the bleeding changed which was more like a period with associated cramps, acne break out so I thought that after it stopped it would be finished. The period stopped (for 2days) but immediately came back. I have bright red blood and discharge everytime I pee.

My pregnancy test was positive up until 4/5 weeks but the hospital has said they are comfortable its fine and won't scan me but I am worried. A private scan is £150 which I can't afford. I really hoped this experience would be over by now, I had the termination for my own mental health and I am looking for reassurance that this will end soon.

This is continuing, looking to see if anyone has had similar.

Ended up having private scan at my expense which showed something,
suspected RPOC. Followed up with NHS who VERY reluctantly have scanned me and confirmed they can also see this. They do "think" but cannot conform 100% that this is just increased blood/vascularity in uterus.
I've had another period and again even after this is finished I'm still bleeding sporadically when I pee.

I want to TTC again but scared and concerned of how this will impact. I feel abandoned by our healthcare system.

Iv got the same issue but 8 weeks. Clinic saying it’s all cleared out. Hospital saying it’s all cleared out. I don’t know what to do

@Unluckyone I'm sorry this has also happened to you. Following this post I was another 4 weeks and the RPOC finally came away confirmed again by private scan. The good news is I fell pregnant immediately after this and now have a happy healthy baby. Good luck, hope everything gets resolved for you.

Hey thank you. How long did u bleed for in total? And what was the routine like?
ie- heavy for a week, light bleeding for a few days and then heavy again?
did u need to take any medication to stop the bleed?
