Hi I had a surgical abortion done on Saturday 4th feb at 14 weeks & 4 days and I'm in agony with my stomach, the surgeon said everything went well and I felt fine for the day of the procedure then it's just been nothing but crippling pain wonder if anyone had crippling pain afterwards?

I hope someone who has experience can answer. But have you spoken to the clinic or hospital where you had it? Hope you're not in too much pain. I've heard it can be a little sore and to take pain relief. Apologies I had a medical so not so sure.

Got worst today I'm just hoping I haven't got any problems x

Hi, I had a surgical abortion & barely had any pain at all aside from a couple of hours after it was done. Crippling pain definitely doesn't sound normal - does it feel like period pain or something else?

Bleeding wise I bled a very small amount initially then it increased after a day or 2. However it didn't settle down for 3 weeks, did a test & it was still positive. Went for a scan & had retained products so had the procedure repeated. After the procedure same with the bleeding, light to start with then increased again after a couple of days then settled within a week.

Surgeon initially said they'd removed everyone & scanned at the end of the procedure to check but turned out not to be the case.

If the pain is that bad then leaving it another 2 weeks seems like a long time, if it doesn't improve over the next couple of days or if it gets worse I'd definitely get back onto them

@Jsh125 I've woken up today with mild cramping which I can cope with the bleeding is abit more heavier but I think it's because I've been active but thank you for your response x

It could be your womb returning back? After mine I had horrific pain days after, despite the days running up to it being manageable. However I did a medical. If you are worried ask them to check if there is any tissue left over. Maybe take it easy for a few days too.
