6+2weeks - Temination

I'm new to this all so sorry if this is in the wrong section.

I'm currently 6+2weeks (estimate from last period) and have an appointment next week to discuss termination as I'm neither mentally or financially ready. I'm approaching my 20's. It hasn't been an easy decision to make and I'm extremely scared to go through this as I've told absolutely nobody what I'm going through. I'm extremely scared for the procedure as I believe it will be an MA.

Everything has been fine up until today as I'm experiencing extreme waves of sickness and feel weak. My legs feel like they could collapse at any given moment. Does anyone have any advice to help with the sickness?

Sorry you're having to deal with this. Is it your first pregnancy?

You could get some cyclizine (anti sickness pills) from the doctor or you can buy them in any chemist. Try having small amounts of food regularly. Sometimes the sickness is worse when you're hungry. How often are you being sick?

The medical abortion isn't too bad. It was just like a period and remember to have pain relief when you take the second set of pills. You'll be fine please don't worry.

@heartbroken22 Thank you so much for your response. It is comforting to come on a platform like this and have people reassure you. 💛

It is my first pregnancy, yes. Have always been extremely cautious however contraception failed me this time. I will pick up some tablets to aid with the sickness. I've had some peppermint tea and the nauseous feeling seems to have went away for now. It has all only come on this morning, which confirms the pregnancy as when I tested positive I was a bit sceptical that it was a false positive as I felt completely fine. It's only now after reading up on it I realise how rare false positives are.

I will be sure to stock up on pain relief and ensure I've had something to eat before the procedure begins. I've read a lot on mumnet (unsure if this is a blessing or a hinderance with some stories) and think I have a better understanding of what to expect with the MA. It is just the pain that I'm concerned about and the fear (and rare chance) of complications when going through this.

Don't worry just let your body do what it's going to do. Trust me it's not bad. It's just having to go through the process. Hopefully you'll be fine x

Just to update this thread and ask for a bit more advice.
I had my appointment yesterday to which I was told I was only 6+2weeks as of yesterday, so not as far along as I initially estimated.

I took my first tablet at 3.30pm yesterday in the hospital and felt fine, up until 6.30pm when I experienced really bad cramps but was still able to go about my day as normal. No bleeding or spotting as of yet with the first dose.

I have woken up this morning and feel absolutely awful. I feel extremely weak and have been sick twice. I suppose I'm just wondering if this is normal after the first dose? I'm due to take my second lot of tablets tomorrow morning and feeling extremely anxious if this is how my body is reacting to the first dose. 😓

I felt rubbish after the first and had no bleeding either but was told to take the cyclizine to stop vomiting.

The second dose is fine just make sure you take some painkillers before hand. I took 2 ibuprofen and not the co codamol they gave. It's just to help with the cramps. But make sure you do take pain relief and rest in bed if you want. Once the bleeding starts drink lots of water.
