Medical abortion

Sadly I decided to make medical abortion. I would like to ask people about their experiences. Is it very painful? My husband will be away I will be at home with my 2 kids. 4 years and 2 years old. Will I will be able to care for them? I know everyone is different but wanted to know people experiences

Hi I had one a week ago will give you a quick run down of my experience 🙂

Took the first last Tuesday, very mild cramps for a short time, next ones 24hours after, cramps more noticeable after taking these but took some paracetamol and carried on as normal. My bleeding didn't start until 24hours after the 3rd lot of tablets. Bleeding was very light, period type cramps with it but nothing major. Stopped bleeding the day after, started bleeding again on day 4 with mild cramps and that's been it.
I was only 4ish weeks so very early on for me. I drove myself mad searching online and looking at horror stories!

I was 5 weeks and would say totally manageable from a pain/ amount of blood perspective but emotionally I would have struggled looking after my two kids (just under 4 and 2 at the time. I timed the second lot of tablets for the evening for that reason, so I could get the worst of it over while they were asleep.

If you can get someone there to support you I would. If you can’t, it’s totally physically manageable.

Hi, I completed my termination on Thursday. Went to the clinic Wednesday had my first tablet, took the second set 24 hours later nothing happened within 3 hours so took the 3rd set of tablets about half an hour after this start cramping nothing more than bad period pains, went to the loo every 15 mins and passed clots 3 times, didn’t want to look so not sure if I definitely passed pregnancy but after about 3/4 hours things started to settle. Been bleeding ever since and feeling very, very lethargic, does anyone know is this normal? Going to take a tonic to see if helps brings my energy back up again and also very emotional today even though I know I made the right decision I just keep crying every 5 minutes. Have been in bed the last 3 days as just too tired to do anything.

better soon. I changed my mind on a day of my appointment. I was to scared to do it alone at home with 2 small kids.

Hi, I'm 4 weeks pregnant and I've used the pills but I only bled at night and stopped in the morning, no clots. Did it work or I'm still pregnant. Help me please 🥺

@Bankz1 Hi ! From what I read before you bleeding can start again and you might pass more clots. Don’t worry. If not feeling right go to clinic ti make ultrasound

Hi, don't worry about the bleeding. I only bled very lightly for 2 days then stopped for 2 days and bled very light again for 2 days, I was 4 weeks too, I've taken my test today and it's negative so has worked. I rang the clinic in a panick and she said light bleeding when your very early is normal. Hope your feeling OK x

Sorry to jump on this thread but I'm seeking some advice from women experiencing/having gone through the same thing.

I had a MA 6 days ago and I believed I passed the pregnancy that day, pain eased up after what I thought was the pregnancy. On Monday night, I believe I passed another clot. I'm experiencing lots of pain and bloating in my tummy and boobs are still sore (although not as sensitive as previously). Has anyone experienced this in the days after? I thought that any bloating/soreness of breasts would stop after the pregnancy passed.

Any advice or experiences would be really appreciated as I'm beginning to become uneasy about it.

Hi, yes I had this. On day 4/5 my bloating and boobs were worse than ever! X

I am heading to my appt tomorrow to get the pills for a medical abortion.
I am between 7-8 weeks give or take
I will find out more tmrw
i have been reading horror stories about the pills not working!!
I need some positive vibes as I am not doing well with the anxiety

Hi. I'm 36, and I found out today that I'm pregnant. My contraception failed (broken condom and unsuccessful morning after pill). I'm around 3 weeks now, and just waiting for my appointment. My situation is nowhere near ideal for a child, so I decided on MA. I've vever wanted kids, I'm not financially stable, and just been dating this guy for little over 4 months. I've gone through rabbit whole on the all scary stories about the procedure. I'm freaking out a bit.

Hi, I am currently going through MA just taken the last 2 tablets. Like you my contraception also failed. Honestly try not to worry yourself too much, I read so much online and wish I had seen these threads beforehand. I prolonged taken the pills but now that I’m over the worst I’m feeling so relieved. I was 8 weeks and within an hour of inserting the 4 tablets I passed quite a large clot which I believe was the pregnancy passing. I was in a lot of pain for about an hour and a half (similar to contractions) but I don’t feel too bad now, I am bleeding quite heavily and slight pain. Give me a message if you need anything. Everything will be fine xxx

Update. I was scheduled yesterday for collection of the pills. I started bleeding the night before, took a test in the morning and it was still positive. Rung the clinic and they asked me to come for the scan to make sure that I don't have ectopic pregnancy. First scan didn't show anything. Took another pregnancy test while in the clinic; positive. Second scan (vaginal one), doctor couldn't see the pregnancy (they said that's probably because I'm under 6 weeks). At that point I was asked to wait a week and take another pregnancy test as it looks like I'm having a miscarriage. Bleeding is getting heavier with visible blood clots and cramps are much stronger; nothing like my usual period which is light, without cramps and short.
