Referred to hospital for termination?

BPAS won't let me have the medical abortion at their clinic due to me having a recent hospital admission and having a condition. They are going to refer me to a Hospital for it or for a surgical. Has anyone else had to do this? How long did it take for an appointment? I'm not keen on having a medical one at the hospital would rather be in the comfort of my own house. So I'd have to go with surgical. Thanks

Is it for safety (it being done at the hospital)? I hope someone else whose been through similar can give better advice. I suggest you ask BPAS to give you as much information as they can and also ring the hospital for piece of mind.

Thank you. They're speaking to my GP apparently but heard nothing yet. Have made a phone call appt with my GP for Monday so see how it goes.

Thank you @asc319
My GP and Doctors and BPAS have now spoken and I'm apparently now suitable for an at home medical termination.
I have a consent interview with the nurse tomorrow and they will then be sending me out the meds.
Thanks again Smile

I'm type 1 diabetic usually well controlled. I got a stomach bug and I landed up in hospital as I couldn't keep anything down. So because I'm usually ok and bloods are good they're not too concerned. I'm 7weeks. I will discuss with them tomorrow about scans etc thank you

@passmeapepsi hi good luck and please don't worry you'll be okay. It's normal to grieve afterwards. I had one at 8 weeks 2 days last time (I'm at the same stage pregnant today). It's hard growing a baby. We're here for you. Rest and have some pain relief. I heard 2 plops in the toilet after taking the 2nd pills and didn't see anything after that( on my pads). Just blood clots. I hated myself afterwards and everybody around me but for me at the time it was the right choice due to my health.

@asc319 I'm so sorry you had a terrible experience. How far along were you? I never though I would terminate but when you're in that situation and you have bad health/health problems with young children to look after sometimes it's the only sane decision. I don't think I would have been alive had I not had mine in June.
