Getting through the wait time

I’ve just booked an initial phone consultation to have a termination. It’s not for over a week. My DD is tiny and I’m not ready to do it all again. She took 3 years to conceive, with 3 miscarriages, this one is totally and utterly unplanned and I feel so broken and lost.

I should be looking forward to my precious baby’s first Christmas, and instead I’ll be having an abortion.

Has anyone got any advice on getting through the waiting time?

Oh how I completely got your post. One step at a time. One day, one minute at a time. The wait time I found was the worst. Far worse than the actual deed. I kept busy, I reminded myself about why I was doing it, but I still struggled. Thinking of you.

I really feel for you, the wait is excruciating once you've made the decision. I found myself just willing away time - there's no magic solution but just try to keep busy, plan things that are fun & can take your mind off it & slowly but surely the days will tick on by.

Personally I found that once I'd had the consultation things moved quickly & the waiting was much worse than actually going through with the termination (appreciate this isn't the same for everyone, we were fairly certain of our decision right from the word go).
