Medical abortion 6 weeks 3 days

Hi all this is my first time posting on here so I’m not really sure of the right things to say . So I found out on the 3rd of October I was pregnant so I rang the clinic the next day to book a medical abortion . I received an appointment for Thursday 13th October I had a scan on that day confirming I was 6 weeks and 3 days I decided to go ahead with the termination as it was the right decision for me . I took the first tablet in the clinic that day and had no side effects whatsoever I went to work . I was given 4 tablets to take at home along with codeine for the pain. I inserted the 4 tablets vaginally on Saturday morning around 8.30 I was fine for a few hours after then around 12 I started to get painful cramps so took myself to bed where the cramps got severely worse and I started to vomit quite often . I had no bleeding at this point . Then around 7pm the cramp was really severe I went to the toilet and started to bleed then the pain became worse and something passed could this have been the pregnancy? I couldn’t be certain when I looked and didn’t want to look any longer as I became lightheaded and dizzy and and really upset . I had cramp during the night afterwards but not painful just like mild period cramp and I haven’t bled today so I am absolutely terrified it hasn’t worked I am genuinely really scared . If anyone has any advice or has a similar experience it would be great to hear from you I am so worried and anxious now I can’t stop crying and feel awful xx

Hi babe hope you're feeling better, I'm going through the same thing ( waiting for my pills) I believe that that's the pregnancy passing however I'd check with a test in 3 weeks. Don't be hard on yourself, take it easy and understand that you did it for the best. Look in to maybe getting some therapy and surround yourself with loving and kind people. Lots of love xx

No worries love, are you still not feeling well physically or is it more mentally now? I can understand how nerve wracking the wait is and I know I'll be the exact same until I take the test to confirm that the pregnancy's passed. I still haven't received my pills and I got them ordered on Sunday, I'm worried that somethings gone wrong with shipping. It's just really hard having all these symptoms whilst waiting, I'm constantly sick and I just can't forget about it because of how unwell I feel xx

Hey babe I received the pills yesterday around 3 and took them at 4 (the first pill) I'm due to take the other four today at 4pm. I haven't had any affects with the first pill other than my symptoms completely stopping feels horrible to say but this is the best I've felt since finding out, I finally feel somewhat like myself. I'm so scared to take the second four pills today and worried it's going to be really painful but I know it has to be done I just have everything ready just in case. Thank you for checking in xx

Aww bless you babe I was fine off the first ones too , I won’t lie the cramping off the second set off them was painful but it didn’t last as long as I thought it would then once I passed around 7 the cramps weren’t that painful . You will be fine honestly just make sure you have pain killers and a hot water bottle for cramps and I was also constantly vomiting the few hours leading up so maybe a bucket cause I couldn’t get to the bathroom quickly also maybe somethimg
cold cause I was getting hot and cold sweats . Your so welcome good luck honey and check in anytime tonight I’ll be here . Al thought it will be painful it won’t last too long I promise then you will feel better xxx

I'm sooo scared 🥺 I'm going to take codeine 45 minutes before and keep on topping up in hopes that I don't feel anything and just fall asleep. Will be taking it really soon now so I'll keep you updated hun fingers crossed everything will be okay thank you so much for your support. Nobody knows but my bf so this has really helped seeing others experience and knowing it's not just me that's going through this one day when we're ready we'll have our families!, how are you doing now?🥺 xx

I promise you will be fine I was terrified the cramps will hurt you but just go to bed and maybe try watch a movie or just try sleep but defo keep on top of the pain management with the codeine it does help you can also take ibuprofen too the hospital told me I could . And honestly your welcome I know what it’s like babe anything I can do to help . Yeah when the time is right hun it will happen you just need to remember this is the right thing for you at this time babe . Yeah keep me updated hun anytime I’m here . Aww I’m not too bad thanks hun physically I feel better it’s just still emotional and I’m still petrified for the test I need to take it next week xxx

Also eat something before you have them as I didn’t have any appetite at all the rest of the day I just had a piece of toast with a little jam before hand so please try have something hun xxx

Okay babe I will do, setting everything up now. How did you insert the pills like, one after another? and I'm glad you're doing better physically but I know that sometimes emotional pain feels worse than the physical. Have you got anyone to talk to that's supportive around you? If not anytime you want to vent or let anything out I'm here! it's such a hard and conflicting situation to be in but trust in your decision and take every day as it comes. In regards to the test you'll honestly be fine! as you wasn't far you wouldn't have felt anything huge coming out it could've been just clots and you'd still have passed the pregnancy I'll keep you updated on how things go and also let me know when you take your test hun best of luck xx

Hey hun just letting you know that I took the pill at 16:21 and it's not 2 minutes till 6pm and I'm having heavy bleeding. So far I've had cramping but it's been nothing worse than my usual period pains just hoping it stays like this, thank you so much for your support once again and I wish you the best of luck xx

I’m so glad your ok darling the cramping will get worse but that will only last a short amount of time till you pass just take your pain med relax and try sleep if it gets bad and you wanna talk I’m here for anything and honestly your welcome glad I can help you said such kind words to me hun so it’s the least I can do . I took the pains vaginally, shortly after messaging you I had intense waves of pains that stopped then continued everytime I passed a clot or a lot of blood. I was sweating/dizzy and was in agony but it didn't last long thankfully. I haven't seen anything leave however I've had lots of 50p size clots leave my body and think I've now passed the pregnancy as the pain has finally settled and stopped completely, really hope this it now as I've taken 3/4 of the codeine already. Honestly hun it's nothing, it's the least I can do you've been so kind too!xx

Yeah I took them the same way hun , aw I’m so glad it’s going ok for you . That should be the worst over for you babe . I’ve had to ring my mam to come sit with me tonight as just after I spoke to you I start passing really big clots so I’m worried sick it’s been 2 weeks so don’t think it’s normal . Hey hun I hope you're feeling better from the other day. I ended up falling asleep and thankfully the pain didn't worsen other than the odd cramp here and there. I had a really bad come down after(mentally) I think it was all the hormones but I'm much better now and just glad that's it all over and I can move on. Thank you for everything doll I hope things work out for us both xxx

Hey so i took the first tablet yesterday and the next 4 today at 7:40. I had already taken a drotin A beforehand. Within 15 mins of taking the tablets i started bleeding. And i was passing heavy clots.Don't know whether i have still passed the pregnancy or not. Had some cramps in between.

@staciea31 im doing ok thanks. It’s day 7 for me now and I’m still having pain in my stomach and back but guessing that’s normal like period cramps.
did everything settle for you after your cramping after 2 weeks?
