Abortion advice

Just looking for some advice from women who have gone through abortions. Please no judgement.

I am mum to one boy (4) who I absolutely adore. However I suffered awful with hypremesis during my first pregnancy, then with post natal depression, also when my son was 3 months he spent time in GOSH being very ill from an adverse reaction to an immunisation. The whole experience has made me not want any more kids, however after being careful with contraception and tracking my cycles I am pregnant again.

I am just asking for any experiences with abortions/advice from women who have had abortions if you are happy to share? As I'm unsure where to start.

Thank you

First of all - whether or not you choose to terminate is up to YOU. You do not need to consider anything/anyone else if you are certain that this is the way forward. It's your choice and that's absolutely fine.

It's been a long time since my termination, but I went privately through Marie Stopes because it was quicker and easier than through the NHS.

There was an initial appt to confirm the pregnancy, I was scanned, then a date booked. I chose surgical over medical because I just wanted it over with ASAP. A date was booked, I went in and had it done and left a couple of hours later. I regret nothing.

I chose medical both times.

First time was completely painless, I slept through the entire thing. Took a bad infection afterwards and ended up on a course of anti bios.

Second time was extremely painful, but only lasted for an hour.

Every woman's experience will be different, you do what is best for you x

Thank you both.

I have contacted MSI and NUPAS, hoping one makes contact with me today to make a consultation appointment.
