m currently 3 hours into taking my 4 tablets. I am very highly dosed up on pain meds supplied by the nurses (12 hour suppository, 2 codeine). I’ve been bleeding very heavily and lost multiple big clots. So im fairly sure it’s working correctly. Problem is (well not reallt a problem as such) I am experiencing absolute no pain whatsoever. Are the pain killers just doing a super good job or is something wrong?

ive looked at all the clots and one of them looked like it could be the pregnancy. Is this normal to have no pain?

Sounds like your pain management plan is doing its job properly. I wouldn't be too concerned.

Thank you for the reply. I’m so worried about it not working properly. But I guess I wouldn’t be bleeding and loosing clots etc if it wasn’t. Maybe I’ve just read too many horror stories on the internet about what I should be experiencing!

I found the pain less than my normal period pain. I think they have to prepare you for the worst but it was nowhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be. If you’re bleeding and passing clots then it sounds like it’s all going as it should.

I appear to be an hour ahead of you in this process. I am feeling pain but the codeine is definitely lessening it.

I get horrific periods though so it’s not unusually painful if that makes sense. Hope you’re ok

Oh I’m so sorry your going through it too! Although it’s kind of comforting to know someone is going through the same thing as me at the same time. I hope your doing okay!
I never take pain killers ever, not even paracetamol (I have a weird phobia of taking tablets) so maybe the painkillers have had a super good effect.
i was also super early on in the pregnancy (6 weeks bang on) so maybe that also has something to do with that. Xx

yeah I guess that’s true. It’s so scary as you I suppose everyone experiences it differently so no two Experiences will be the same xx
