Hello, I’ve just had my medical abortion tablets delivered. Do you think it would be ok to take table 1 now (3pm) and tablet 2 first thing in the morning ? I really want someone to be home with me when I take tablet 2 and my husband is working away abroad from 2pm tomorrow. I was going to set an alarm and take the second (4) tablets at about 6am.

What do you think ? It says one day later.

webmd says it may not work if you don’t wait 24 hours. I’d probably wait but I understand why you don’t want to be alone

Sorry, but you do need to follow the instructions and wait a day. Do you have anyone else around to support you?

When does your husband get back? I don’t think things are going to be fully resolved by 2.00 pm if you take the second dose at 6.00 am. Is there no one else who could come and stay with you?

Before taking the Misoprostol (step 2) you must, for your safety and efficiency of the treatment, wait 24-48 hours.

Oh dam, ok. I thought the worst was probably going to be in the morning.

The instructions just say in 1-2 days to move on to step 2. I’ll wait then. I’ll have my 2 teenage daughters at home all afternoon and whilst I can say I’m having a heavy period I’d rather they weren’t about. Oh god want a mess this has been 😭

How are you OP?

Hi

had quite bad pain about 30 mins after taking them, pain has subsided and just normal period pain and bleeding has started. I took the tablets 2.5hours ago. I thought due to the pain I was in I’d have been bleeding a lot but it’s only just started really.
