Flexible working request and pregnancy

Hi. I went back from mat leave last year and asked to return 3 days, my firm couldn’t accommodate so I went back full time which I was gutted about. I’ve found it hard, haven’t been too well, commuting into the city and trying to be a good mum. I put in another request (non statutory as within 12 months since my last one before returning for mat leave) in May this year to work 3 days and it looks like it is getting approved but it seems to be taking a long time, I asked for it to be sorted by Aug but am still waiting for it to be finalised.

is it wrong of me to try for another baby as soon as I go down to part time? I understand they put you on trial period. I’m worried I’m going to annoy management and not end up with a job but at the same time don’t want to put my life on hold.

Thank you x

You might do better with this in Employment - you can report your post and ask Mumsnet to remove it.

If you want another baby then stay full time and drop down to 3 days a week after the 2nd, otherwise you’re loosing a whole lot of maternity pay for only a short while in work.
