Morning after pill around ovulation time?

I had unprotected sex on the night of my predicted ovulation date (ov date is usually accurate) I took Levonelle about 10 hours afterwards, I am wondering if anyone has become pregnant despite taking the morning after pill (around ovulation)

if my body was preparing to ovulate that day/ the next day, would the morning after pill been able to of stopped it from happening?

Levonelle works in two ways: it will either prevent ovulation if you haven’t ovulated, or it will prevent fertilisation if you have 🙂

We always advise doing a pregnancy test 3 weeks after last unprotected sex. Depending on when the sex was and where you currently are in your cycle, you could also have an emergency coil fitted which is >99% effective in preventing pregnancy, and then can stay in as ongoing contraception.

Me. She’s 10 now and I couldn’t imagine life without her 🥰(and her sibling and DH, who was very much a bit of fun at the time).

I took EllaOne and got pregnant anyway, I think I must have ovulated earlier than normal but I don't know. I ended up having a termination that I now massively regret. If I were you I would get the emergency coil fitted. I had no idea about that at the time, not once in fifteen years of contraception did anyone even mention it. This whole ordeal has devastated me, if you can avoid it completely that would be ideal. Sorry if this scares you, but it's much better to know than not know. Good luck!

Me currently 22 weeks, took the emergency contraception pill within 8 hours too, they told me it works 95% of the time

Had the same in feb. Took MAP within 12 hours but was at the most fertile point in my cycle and still got pregnant. I hope it’s worked out okay for you xx
