When did everyones period return after a medical abortion?

i had my medical abortion at 5 weeks - 4 weeks & 2 days ago (from miso dose)
my periods are normally always around 28 days. I expected it to be a bit irregular but it still doesn’t stop me from worrying!
I took a pregnancy test yesterday which was negative after my TOP pregnancy test last week which was also negative.

some period symptoms like sore breasts & some cravings/mood swings (but I also had these when I was pregnant and was convinced my period was coming!)

I’m a few weeks behind you in the process - I had my medical abortion 10 days ago and my bleeding finished three days ago so I I’m sorry I can’t offer any personal experience yet! Did you get any signs of ovulation? My periods are usually 27-29 days and ovulation day 14-16 but if the termination counts as cycle day 1 I do not feel anything like how I’d feel on a normal cycle day 10 lol.

Six weeks for me. It takes a while for things to go back to normal.

Yeah I would say I ovulated around day 15-20. usually around day 13-15, the cervical mucus changes felt like they went on a lot longer!

I'll be 5 weeks on Tuesday but not had anything yet x

I'm 5 weeks today but had slight brown discharge that's turned red today. Nurse told me it could be my period.

Good to hear you two are both hopefully having periods and not too long since your procedures either. I’ll be two weeks first pill tomorrow, zero signs of ovulation yet…

I’m waiting for my period too post termination (4 weeks 5 days ago) but nothing yet. I’m pretty sure I ovulated nearly 2 weeks ago too. I’ve just had a big operation though (nothing to do with my termination, but was one of my reasons for terminating as this operation couldn’t wait) and I’ve been stressed and anxious so could delay things (I’m also on blood thinners post op so hoping I don’t have a period until I’ve finished them 🤪).

I got mine last week at around 5 weeks post. I had ovulation symptoms a few weeks before but I thought it couldn’t be as I was still testing positive and read I wouldn’t ovulate until I got a negative test, but it’s back which I’m thankful for.

I talked mine up, it arrived yesterday with gusto and is very heavy! 😫 I’m currently on blood thinners as I’m post operation so that’s fun too! 🤪

How long did it take for your periods to return after a medical abortion?
I took the pregnancy test given to me on the 4th may and it was negative. Then last week I had cramps and some tinged discharge (pinky colour) so I thought I might be coming on. As of today still no period and iv done another test today still negative. I have very bad anxiety and this isn’t helping.😪Thankyou for reading x

I had a termination on 01/08/23 and I’m still bleeding! Very light but it’s still there! Sometimes it stops overnight not then starts again! Today I’ve had period like symptoms and more blood! I think I’ve started but I can’t be too sure because I was bleeding anyway! Anyone else experience this? I called the helpline yesterday as I found out I have an UTI but they said everything sounds normal! Any advice please?!

Hi. I had a medical abortion at 6 weeks 5 days pregnancy( confirmed via TVS) I took mifepristone and misoprostol. (4 miso , 1 mife) Starts bleeding past out clots bleeding lasted for 1 week or 6 days now it's been 4-5 weeks haven't got my periods yet but experiencing cramps, mood swings and breakout. What should I do as I am too scared off ultrasound again and does this ensure my pregnancy is over?.

Hi, can you give me update as i am in 4 week after miso. I am not facing any heavy bleeding now but only spotting brown blood. Was it the same case with u? And when did ur periods start?
