Hi all,
Does anyone know if wen you go to a private clinic say for a pregnancy ultrasound, it's their a report/record made that's sent to your GP, if so does anyone know if I can opt out of a report/ record being made and or my GP being informed? Or is ther a private clinic to go to forum Manchester area or near as possible for a pregnancy ultrasound scan that does not inform your GP or make any records regarding a private clinic visit?

No they are not sent to your Gp however if worried just don't put a GP practice on the form if they ask for it.

Is there a reason you are worried about this?

No, nothing goes on your medical records from a private scan.

They will type up a report to confirm what they've seen but they give it to you, not the GP or anything

i had a private scan once and they explained if theres any problems they would inform gp

No they don't. Nor do any of your midwife blood tests/ appointments.

Well, at least not for us anyway. When I asked the GP if she could see something the midwife done for me she said no I can't but if you give me written permission it takes about a day or so to download all your appointments/ results etc.
