Medical abortion and time off work

I’ve got a phone consultation with BPAS first thing on Tuesday morning and hoping my tablets will arrive on Wednesday. I’m due in work all week next week, with no day off until Sunday, but I want to get this process started ASAP and the idea of waiting another 9 days is not great. Is it naive of me to think I can schedule the second medicine around work, i.e take it early evening and be ok for work the next day? I’m in a customer facing office role of that makes a difference. Or will I be more likely to need to take a days sick?

Meant to say, I’ll be 4 weeks 2 days at my consultation

A friend of mine miscarried at 8 weeks and found it pretty painful. Based on her experience I'd say you might need at least a couple of days off.

Sorry, cross post . That's pretty early, so symptoms will probably be minimal.

I had a medical termination at 6 weeks and didn't need any time off. I work in an office so was mostly sitting down and could pop to the loos whenever needed, so I think it depends on the nature of your job. However in my experience the worst of it was over in a few hours.

I work in a customer facing role and had mine at nearly 9 weeks. I got my days off put together, took my first tablet to end the pregnancy before work on the Tuesday and worked as normal and then took the rest of the tablets on the Wednesday and had the Thursday off too. I definitely felt like I needed that day after off as the actual day was quite exhausting and I still had bad cramping the day after. By the Friday it kind of just felt like a slightly more cramping period pain.

I did mine at 3 weeks 6 days. Bleeding only started 2 full days after the second round of pills.

I was super tired and dizzy that day but went for dinner that night, didn't feel great but managed.

The next 2 days I was just super tired and like a very heavy period. Today is the 3rd day after bleeding, still tired but would be able to work sitting down yes.
