So today I'm due to take the first pill to terminate a 5 week pregnancy
I'm so scared
Pls share your experience

I took mine on Saturday just gone and I was absolutely terrified too! I was just 6 weeks and started bleeding and cramping 26 hours after the first pill, when I was due to take the next 4. Took the next 4 and about 2 to 3 hours later I think I passed the pregnancy. I then took the last 2 pills. If I’m honest I expected horrific cramping and very heavy bleeding (I was frightened of haemorrhaging) but this hasn’t been my experience at all. The bleeding has been manageable, as have the cramps (although I’m glad I did take codeine and ibuprofen as the cramps were strong at times). Yesterday I didn’t bleed very much but today I’ve passed more clots etc. Feel free to message me for a handhold 💐

Just got back from the clinic...
Swallowed the first pill with a glass of water...
Now gonna try n carry on as normal to get most of the housework done..
I'm mostly worried about 'seeing' the pregnancy on the pad but when I have heavy periods I get the feeling I'm gonna pass a clot soon so I do make it to the loo in time for it to not reach the pad..
trying to hide the pain n guilt on my face from my teenagers is quiet difficult too..

I hope yr feeling ok..
I must have thanked the nurses over 10 times for providing such a service... 🙈

I hope you’re feeling OK after taking the first pill. I felt fine but I did have an upset stomach a few hours later (not sure if it was the pill or my anxiety). I know what you mean but I think most people can ‘feel’ something which alerts them to get to the toilet. I’m so sorry, that must be awful for you 😕

Yes I’m OK thank you, feeling much calmer now (was an absolute mess on Saturday taking the 4 and 2 tablets 😳). I’m sure they appreciated that, I got mine sent in the post but the midwife I spoke too was really lovely and reassuring ☺️

Aaw Yh I'm not looking forward to the 4 pills tomorrow...
got a hot water bottle painkillers and some Netflix lined up for when I need something else to concentrate on..

I have my husband..
he was happy to carry on but with nearly adult kids already at 16 n 19 and us at 42 n 46 it just wouldn't work out... I am just recently feeling free of 'mummy duties' with the 16yr old..

I'm just cooking for tonight then going to shower n sit infront of the tv..
Will catch up with u tomorrow...

Good Morning
Had a somewhat relaxing evening watching tv till midnight...
Took the first pill just before 5pm and had a strong but short cramp at 8pm..
No other activity since then other then backache at bedtime so got a hot water bottle on it..
Took youngest to school n now back at home with a coffee in the garden trying to get my head round what I need to do today before I take the 4 pills...
Hope yr all ok today..

@brownbeauty80 Hope you’re doing OK. I too bled before taking the 4 tablets, it’s not uncommon.

Started with light cramping at 7pm ish..
Hot water bottle helped..
Didn't take painkillers coz I'd rather not have the extra chemicals in my system.. already feel messed up as it is..!
Had a funny tummy sensation n went for a poo.. well it was diarrhoea.. this happened twice before 10pm..
had toast n went to sleep with hot water bottle on tummy and back..
could feel little gushes every now n then..
Took the day off work n arranged for youngest to get dropped off at school by her brother..
I'm gonna take it easy mentally and physically today..
hope yr all doing ok...

Thursday was a regular period kinda day getting heavier towards afternoon n evening...
no pain at all..
I even managed to go to work

Good morning. Glad it it all went smoothly for you without any pain. You sound like you were really sure of your decision which is good . I’m currently hiding from the sun at the moment spending far to much time on mumsnet! But spose I’d better get on with my jobs 😐

i'm having a medical termination today. i'm so scared. i'm 5w2d, so i'm hoping it won't be too horrendous. i just don't know how to cope, all i've seen are total horror stories. any advice? thank you🩶
