?? Failed medical abortion

My head is a mess… I had a termination 4 weeks ago when according to a quick scan I was 5+4. Still getting a strong positive test so contacted NUPAS who can’t get me in to see anyone for almost 2 weeks. Called my local EPU who have done a Hcg blood test this morning… just called with the results…9400! They can’t scan me until next Thursday so I don’t know what the hell is going on. 9400 seems way to high for it to have been fully successful but also low for my dates if it had failed. Anyone else had anything like this??

I haven’t had an abortion before (contemplating one now) but I have had a miscarriage that required surgery. I bled and the pregnancy did actually pass but there was still what they call “products of conception” that retained and my HCG levels were still really high.
Have you had the scan yet? I really feel for you as having the medical treatment so early you wouldn’t expect it to still be going on at this point.

Thanks for your replies. I went for the scan and although I’d bled so much there was still a lot of tissue and the pregnancy sac. Had an MVA the other day and they scanned me straight after and said they’ve got everything so hoping that is the end and I can finally move on.
