No period after abortion

Hi all,

I had an at home medical abortion at 4 weeks and 5 days. It was like a heavy and painful period- I bled for 1-2weeks (I can't remember exactly how long).

I took the pregnancy test given and a boots one 4 weeks after - both were negative. I have had no issues since.

It has now been 6 weeks and I haven't had a period since. Is there a chance it hasn't worked/there is a complication?

Should I call bpas for a scan or wait a bit?

Take another pregnancy test, if you're getting negatives it probably worked. Has your period started yet since you posted? I'd get in touch with them just in case. Make sure you're having protected sex because you can get pregnant again straight away.

Hi, just to update.

I took a pill to induce a bleed (utovlan) and it worked. So I bled on May 22-29, I was spotting towards the end of it.

I had a scan on May 27 from bpas and every looked fine. I am just waiting on my period now. I heard utovlan can mess up your cycles.

tbh I am just relieved everything was passed and the scan was fine! - I can cope if my cycle is messed up for a couple of months. I was just so worried about an incomplete termination.

Mine didn't return until 10 weeks after my medical. Doctors said it was normal
