Abortion on friday

I’m booked for a medical abortion on Friday I should be about 6weeks just over. I’m absolutely panicking about the unknown. I feel sick. I don’t have a good pain threshold and I’m absolute crapping myself. Can’t believe I got into this mess. All I keep reading is horror stories of how they was in excruciating pain… I’m even scared of inserting the tablets! I don’t think I’ll be able to get the high enough… does anyone have any advice please !

ive had two abortions . One medical one surgical . Neither were extremely painful. The medical one is like a very very heavy period and yes you will probably need painkillers but not excruciating no . I suppose we all have different pain thresholds but I think it’s rare that it’s that painful or any complications. There’s some really good threads just below yours we’re they described what happened and gave really good advice . Mine was ten years ago so probably better to read there’s as it was recent . Just try and have a couple of days to do it and rest after if you can . I hope it all goes well for you x

@Threebutterflies sorry I’ve only just seen your reply. Thanks so much I’m coping OK so far fingers crossed it doesn’t get more painful. I worked myself up so much after reading the horror stories!

@Threebutterflies thanks for checking in on me. I’m doing great, no pain today and the pain yesterday really wasn’t that bad! I can’t believe how non scary it was too!
