I conceived on the 15th April
but how comes going by like the nhs calculator and stuff it makes me nearly 6 weeks?! Surely I am only 4weeks?! I’m booked for a abortion next week but it has got me thinking about things. When you Google about the weekly baby size… should I be looking at 4 weeks embryo or a 6 week one? Just how can I be 6 weeks if I only had sex and conceived 4 weeks ago!? This is gunna make me sound crazy..

Pregnancy is dated from the first day of your last period. So although you have technically only been pregnant for 4 weeks you are "6 weeks pregnant"

They always add on 2 weeks from conception date.

Because often people won’t know the exact conception date, it is measured from the first day of your last period.

Your pregnancy starts on the date of your last period. So if you conceived 4 weeks ago you are 6 weeks pregnant. If you want to know what the foetus looks like now, you will need google 6 weeks pregnant (even though the foetus is 4 weeks old). If you google 4 weeks pregnant you’ll see a 2 week old foetus
