I'm having a surgical abortion at the beginning of May due to medical reasons. I will be 11weeks 4 days on the day of the procedure. Had anyone else had a surgical abortion around this time? Seen loads of horror stories and im absolutely terrified. I will be given general anaesthesia but terrified of waking up during and the pain afterwards.
Thanks in advance 💔

Hi @Rochumbrella i hope you are doing ok. I had a surgical TFMR at 16 weeks. The procedure was absolutely fine. I was also under general anaesthetic, I had no pain at all when I woke up. I did have quite a bit of bleeding for the first couple of days so stayed close to home. For the week after I was very, very uncomfortably bloated, but that did pass after around a week.

Good luck, it’s a horrible time but the staff were all very kind and made it as smooth a process as possible for me.

Hey guys. I had an surgical abortion 6weeks+3days ago for personal reasons. I still haven't had my period and me and my partner are trying to get pregnant again, we had been trying 2 days after the abortion. Has anyone had any experiences of getting pregnant so soon after a abortion or is it most likley i will get my period first. I did a pregnancy test 2 days ago but it is negative.
