Can it wait?

Found out yesterday I am 2-3 weeks pregnant with DP. Both solidly agreed on termination.

For some reason, I really thought I'd be able to get an appointment and pill today. Obviously that's not the case. I have a phone call with BPAS booked in on Thursday.

The problem is DP is at work on Thursday, at a wedding all Friday and then we're seeing my parents on Saturday for a big birthday celebration. Then next week I have a completely unmoveable work thing which I need to be present and cognisant for - would be too outing to explain why but it's really immoveable.

Is waiting until 30th April madness? Will it make the experience much worse? I'd rather not wait but I don't want to be alone during and I can't miss work the following week. Partner could skip wedding but needs to be at work on Friday - we're flat broke.

I will obviously talk this through with the BPAS person on Thursday but looking for advice ASAP so I can start scheduling time of work and for my partner to be around.

Would love any advice or experiences with medical abortion at 5/6 weeks?

Thanks.

5/6 weeks is still early so you will be fine. I’ve had one medical and one surgical abortion both at that stage and both were fine. Physically just like period pains. Unfortunately I’ve had a lot of mental health problems since but I didn’t 100% want the abortions . So as long as your sure the actual procedure should be fine. Obviously it would be best to do it when you can have a few days off after . X

I had to wait 3 extra weeks as I had Jury duty! I was 7 weeks when I went and I has a surgical termination by preference, but either way it's not very far along at all.

All went well - except some shaming from MIL! Thank for your advice.
