Hi,
Just wanting to know if anyone’s had a similar experince and what the outcome was.
I took the mifepristone pill at home on sunday 1:30pm, took 4 misoprostol vaginally at 6:45pm yesterday, had diarrhea and chills and very light bleeding when wiping, took the other 2 misoprostol pills vaginally at 10:30pm, had some cramping, but managable with hot water bottle and nurofen. I have been bleeding moderately since shortly after the second lot of misoprostol but no large clots. I was expecting the bleeding to be heavier to be honest.
Advised to take the pregnancy test that came in the pack at 3 weeks after the mifepristone.
I’m just worried maybe it hasn’t worked?

How many weeks were you?

I didn’t really feel any pain with mine but I did feel clots when I had the urge to sit on the loo. Have you not felt anything like that at all? Have you called the helpline?

Hi, 6 weeks.
I have had bleeding, like a regular period, with very very small clots, i guess i was expecting a very heavy bleed with big clots.
I haven’t called the helpline yet

I had a termination at 8 weeks and the bleeding wasn't extreme nor were the clots particularly big or numerous, so at six weeks I don't think it would be unusual what you're describing. It's still very early after all. The pain was actually less than some periods I've had too.

Thank you for your response, that’s quite reassuring. I suppose i’m just winding myself up and getting panicky

Lots of these comments are so reassuring…

I am due to take the second lot of medication tomorrow morning and I’m sooo nervous, so reading “the pain was actually less than some periods I’ve had too” has calmed me right down 😩

I went through a private company due to long waits with the NHS, and the consultant advised me you may not even pass any clots, and the bleeding may not be as extreme as you expect! Fingers crossed it worked for you 🙁

Thank you!

The pain wasn't too bad, i didn't take the codeine in the package, i managed with nurofen and hot water bottle and was just like period cramps.

I did have more bleeding yesterday and passed some small clots so that put my mind at resf.

I went directly to BPAS rather than through GP, had phone consultation last Friday and the package arrived next day. Very easy i have to say.

Hope it goes ok for you x

That’s really reassuring to hear… I have quite a low pain threshold so I think I will dose up as much as possible, just in case…

I went directly to BPAS too, but it was a 10 day wait for consultation and then a further wait for treatment… They said they had a very high level of women in my local area at the moment 🙁

You have definitely made me feel a bit less nervous - thank you! X

You'll be ok. Make yourself comfy and have a netflix binge. Lett us know how you get on. X
