Medical Abortion - no cramping / pain.

Hi all, I’m wondering if anyone has been through the same as me. I’m sorry if this post comes across very matter of fact, it’s just my way of dealing with things.

For reasons I won’t go into, I have chosen to have a medical abortion. I would of conceived on the 6th Jan, meaning I’m around 6/7 weeks.

I chose the medical abortion, took the first pill yesterday and inserted the other 4 today. Around 2 hours after the second set of pills I started bleeding, and half an hour after passed clotting and what I assume was the pregnancy (looked different to a clot, fleshy and greyish) and size of a plum.

My concern is I’ve had little to no cramping. I did take co-codamol before the process but I was really expecting to be in pain and I’m worried it’s not working correctly. Has anyone else had this? I don’t know what to think, I just want to curl into a ball and go to sleep at the moment my mind is just on over time Sad

Thanks for any advice, and again, sorry for being matter of fact. It’s a massive emotional decision for me but it’s my way of coping. Thank you xxx

Mine was almost pain-free. Much better than a normal period. I'd taken some codeine prior too. I had some mild period cramping but very rapidly passed the pregnancy and then had no further pain.

Thank you. I’m glad yours went as smooth as possible. I guess I was expecting it too be much worse after reading online, I suppose there’s still time but I’m 90% sure the pregnancy has passed. Xx
