BPAS Abortion

I have an abortion booked with BPAS next week in the Bournemouth clinic. I am 7 weeks but decided to choose a surgical as that is what I feel most comfortable with. I have gained a lot of weight over the past 2/3 years and I am weighing in at 18 stone. When I had my consultation, they didn't ask me my height or weight and now I am worrying because I have heard that some women have had to go to a hospital to get it done if they are overweight due to increased risks with anaesthetic etc. I am not having general, just local and sedation. Are there any other ladies that are overweight that have had a surgical abortion in the clinic? Thank you

Not having a general anaesthetic makes any surgical procedure a lot more straightforward tbh. I take it you've already had your blood pressure checked and it's satisfactory?

Give the clinic a call and ask them your questions so they can reassure you.

All best wishes to you.
