I came on here to leave a positive story about the medical abortion process.
I decided to have an abortion due to the timing of my pregnancy and although I absolutely want to be a mom somewhat soon, I physically could not be pregnant at the time.
Anyway, I got the pills by post from Nupas after 8 days and took the first at 5weeks. I had only light discharge after 36 hours.
40 hours later I took the second pills. Well it gave me mild cramps and only 3 hours later did I get more severe cramps (5/10 pain) I did not bleed. After 4 hours I took the 2 additional tablets and felt nothing. I moved around a bit and then when I went to the loo next a small jelly like sac passed. It was small but clearly the sac. I still had very little bleeding. Because of this I called the helpline and they said to wait. The next morning ( 20 hours later) still not much blood. Eventually about 30 hours later the bleeding had flow.
I am now experiencing mild cramps and heavier bleed (to my relief) I think this was my reaction as I was so early in the pregnancy.
I’m just putting this out there to reassure ladies who are scared!
