Not sure if anyone else has had this.

So I took the morning after pill, not Ella one the other one on 10th December after the condom split on the day of my ovulation.

Yesterday, I started spotting, well it’s dark brown discharge and I’ve had more again today. I’ve also been experiencing what feels like pregnancy symptoms (extreme nausea, metallic taste in my mouth, sore nipples, bloating, headache, fatigue). My period is due in 5 days so I took a first response early response test today and it’s negative.

I know the morning after pill can affect your periods and the timings but it’s not a period I’m having because it looks like old blood and I’m only needing to use a liner, not a pad.

I’m now starting to regret taking the morning after pill in case it has messed my cycles up because I had years of irregular bleeding when I had the implant in years ago.

I think it should only affect your first period after taking it. It shouldn't have longer term repercussions.
If you're worried take another pregnancy test in a few days but you should be ok.

Hi I came across your post after searching on here how did it go? I took Ella one within 5 hours after unprotected sex (4days ago) and to say started hcaing brown discharge xx
