Hi!

I'm in a situation which I definitely haven't processed mentally yet. My period was 4 days late and I had a positive test today. I chalked it down to booster jab, but it seems I got pregnant a week after I had it.

Me and my partner have a child each with previous partners. We've been together for two years but not yet introduced each other to our children.

I feel like termination is my only option, but it scares me. I'm the primary parent for my son, and I just think it's too much change for him for me to introduce him to my partner, move in together and have a baby by the summer.

I've never had a termination before, I don't really know what it entails and how long it takes to get appointments etc. I'd appreciate any insight. Thanks

You have to ultimately do what’s right for YOU ,
It’s easy to get wrapped up in the baby bubble but the reality is completely different . I mean maybe who knows - this might be what you both needed to progress the relationship further ( ie - meeting each other’s children etc)
But ultimately it’s down to you & if you could deal with the pressures of having such a precise timescale of all that.
In regards to what to do, ring either BPAS or MSI they will see if your area is funded for NHS treatment ( it usually is just depends on what company has your local clinic ) they will then book you for a telephone consult & they will then discuss your options .
I had a phone all Saturday morning & had my tablets delivered on Sunday ! So it’s pretty quick once you finally get an appointment , that I had to wait almost 2 weeks for , that’s the hardest part personally .
I hope you come to a decision soon , take care of yourself and don’t put too much pressure on yourself . Remember you’re not a bad person for putting yourself & your current children first xx
