Termination, midwife thinks ectopic

I had a phone consultation with BPAS midwife earlier. I'm on the pill but after a bad bout of sickness have fallen pregnant. I'm not in a good place mentally to have another baby and my previous births were quite tramatic.

I have been having mild to moderate pain lower down, mainly on one side or the middle, I can't get an appointment for 2 weeks and midwife tried Early Pregnancy Unit but they have nothing until Wednesday, midwife is not happy to wait as I have had a previous miscarriage which resulted in hemorrhage and emergency surgery and she is also concerned that the pain may indicate an ectopic and has suggested (along with EPU) to go straight to a&e tomorrow and then she'll call me Monday to discuss the scan results.

I am slightly nervous as I've never been to A&E for this type of thing before and don't feel entirely comfortable disclosing the fact I am looking into termination. Do you think they will turn me away? As EPU at the hospital suggested A&E can I just mention that and hopefully get a scan? The pain is quite persistant and is getting a lot more noticeable as the days go on. My shoulder has started to get a sharp pain today.

Please no judgement, I truly didn't expect to go through this.

No judgment here. I wouldn’t usually comment on a thread like this as I don’t feel remotely qualified however it’s late and I didn’t want your post to go unseen.
I would take it one step at a time with A&E as clearly the immediate critical step is to ascertain whether the pregnancy is ectopic or not. No need to disclose anything else at first.
If you are having shoulder pain I wonder if you should go now vs waiting til morning. Or at least get advice from 111 on this new development and see what they say.
I hope it all works out for you.

I'm surprised she advised you to wait with a suspected ectopic. I would call 111 for advice ASAP tbh.

I recently had an ectopic and fallopian tube removal and I would suggest you attend a&e now if you have abdo and shoulder tip pain.
Ectopic pregnancy is incredibly serious and a&e would not turn you away if presenting with symptoms.
I hope everything works out for you Flowers

Suspected ectopic + shoulder pain = A+E

hope all goes well for you.

No judgement at all but this may take any decision out of your hands too

I’m surprised at how long they wait for ectopics. 💐 please take care.
