Still bleeding 8 weeks on

Hi,

I had a termination at 14+5, 8 weeks ago. I've been bleeding ever since, it's not stopped at all. It has been through phases of being a bit lighter but never stopped.

Should I be concerned about this, I feel fine and a pregnancy test is negative I'm just so sick of the bleeding now.

I would really see the doctor. Maybe you have some tissue still left inside. Hope you find some help soon.

Did you have some contraception fitted at the time of Abortion ? Something like an implant / depo injection / Mireya or Jaydess can take time to settle and as all progesterone only
If not , I would book a fu check with your provider , have you had at least one normal period ?
If you have any symptoms of infection - fever temp pain please see your GP asap

Thank you for the replies. It's been constant bleeding since the termination, I haven't had any cramps etc since the first week that I'd normally get with a period and the blood is different to a normal period for me, much brighter red.

I have been taking desogestrel pill for about 6 weeks and I'm booked to have the Mirena coil fitted next week.

I have called the provider and I'm waiting for them to call back now.

That's good ... it's probably unlikely you have much to worry about , just very frustrating for you
You may find the Mirena will settle it down and then you can move on, let us know how you get on
